Our Event Sales Manager, Camilla Criswell, was delighted to receive the following feedback from Sara Sharp at The Chartered Institute of Horticulture following their one day conference and drinks reception for around 100 delegates.
“The food was wonderful and the additional staff providing personal service during lunch was a lovely touch. We received excellent feedback regarding the catering from our delegates.
The attention to detail made the day a success, and we especially appreciated the flexibility of the caterers when it came to adjusting the dessert to suit our audience. As a result we were able to showcase British produce, which we knew was important to our guests.
The venue itself is beautifully decorated throughout and has a very luxurious feel to it. The attentiveness of the staff meant that everything ran smoothly, and overall we had a fantastic event.”

According to Camilla: “After the first site visit with the conference organisers, the Chartered Institute of Horticulture confirmed they wanted to hold the conference at Farmers & Fletchers in the City.
“All the final details for the official working part of the day, including all the IT requirements, were agreed at a meeting two weeks prior to the event. During that meeting we discussed and agreed the special lunch menus worked out with the chef, which were tailored to the client’s specific requirements.”
The Chartered Institute of Horticulture were able to have sole use of the building for the conference, which was held in the Great Hall using AV with multiple mics and screens.
The IT was overseen by an AV technician, who was a recommended Farmers & Fletchers in the City supplier. During the lunch period and drinks reception four screens in the public areas showed a rolling presentation.
The buffet lunch was served in the reception area providing plenty of space for people to enjoy lunch and network before returning to the conference. At the end of the day, drinks were served back in the reception area.
